Developing a competitive driving game experience.

Overview

WEX Inc. a provider of payment processing and information management services to the vehicle fleet industry, came to Genuine needing an enticing and interactive experience for their booth at the distinguished National Association of Fleet Administrators Expo, in order to drum up excitement among clients and prospects.

Challenge

After considering a few different engagement ideas WEX chose The WEX Fleet Challenge: A head-to-head driving video game that brings to life how WEX helps businesses better manage expenses, while playing off all the other payment hassles they face on a daily basis (unauthorized spending on junk food at truck stops, unmanageable stacks of driver receipts, etc.).

Solution

We captured all the product benefits in a fun, engaging, and competitive experience. The team created a Mario Kart style game to get attendees to enter the booth, race against a friend or WEX team member, and collect as many points as possible to get the high score and win prizes. This was a hugely collaborative and all-hands-on-deck project from start to finish. The team needed to build a custom video game within ~40 days.

Result

The client was extremely happy with the result and are already interested in further customizing the game platform to align it creatively with other trade show events, and setting it up in the WEX office as a fun internal engagement.

Client quotes:

“Worth its weight in gold.”

"Terrific job that delivered an exception engagement experience."

”Without a doubt our best booth experience ever.”
